E7000 Software Update Subscriptions

A one (1) year subscription to all applicable product software updates is included with the purchase of a Nyquist E7000 system (“E7000”).

Bogen also offers extended Software Update Subscriptions (“SUS”) in increments of one, three, and five years. Bogen’s Nyquist team is continually and rapidly innovating new features, appliances, and security enhancements to the E7000 solution.

Important Security Updates. Maintaining system security is important – especially in a networked environment, where staying on top of security updates helps prevent hacking, viruses, and malware.
Avoid Lapsed Coverage (“Catch-up”) Fees for expired subscriptions when updating your system becomes imperative due to evolving school safety initiatives.

E7000 System Software Update Subscription

All Nyquist E7000 software licenses are perpetual and do not expire (i.e., no annual license renewal fees). For one year after a customer’s initial purchase of a Nyquist E7000 system, Bogen will provide a Software Update Subscription (the “SUS”) for covered products free of charge. The SUS includes all new feature releases, maintenance releases, bug fixes, critical updates, and documentation updates. Please note that any hardware that may be associated with a new feature and is not currently owned by the customer would need to be purchased.

Additionally, there is an option to purchase extended SUS plans in one, three, or five-year increments to allow customers to keep their E7000 system up-to-date with the latest features, functionality and critical security updates. The extended SUS plans are available upon initial purchase of the Nyquist E7000 system or may be purchased separately at a later date at the customer’s option. When purchased in conjunction with a new system, extended software update subscription coverage commences upon the expiration of the initial free one-year subscription term. If SUS coverage is allowed to expire, additional lapsed coverage surcharges may apply in order to reinstate coverage.

All software updates are delivered by electronic download from the secured Bogen ES Dealer website and customers are responsible for downloading and installing any/all desired software updates while their SUS coverage is in-effect.

NOTE: If a customer chooses not to purchase a subscription for software updates or otherwise allows their SUS coverage to lapse, the customer remains entitled to receive critical updates and full access to technical support by phone for their licensed software.
